This week: battlegrounds, classes and dungeon discussion
Blizzard rounds up class previews, PvP updates and a podcast about dungeon leveling and quests.

The official beta announcement lists October 21 as the last full testing day before launch preparations.
What to do with this news
Make a short list of abilities or talents you want to inspect during testing. Save the route you used and record the version with any observations you want to revisit at launch.
The official deep dive covers persistent Seals and baseline Consecration.

Blizzard outlines the launch and the first raid milestone in its announced content roadmap.
What to do with this news
Check the launch time in your local timezone, then agree a meeting time with your group. Keep your preparation checklist separate from the later raid milestone.
These summaries come from Blizzard’s class previews. Each card shows its date and original source; “How it may affect your build” is our interpretation. Consult beta notes for later published changes.
Your stance plan matters alongside the talent route. Before a dungeon, identify which buttons you keep available after switching stance and which defensive tools fit your role. Compare two saved routes rather than assuming the biggest damage number is best.
What to check before playing
Choose the role for this run: tanking or damage.
Check trainer abilities before spending a point for an old Classic habit.
Separate your trainer purchases from your talent choices. For a tanking route, review the tools available at your current level; for a damage or healing route, compare what you gain and give up. Prepare the class weapon quest before a Deadmines group.
What to check before playing
Review Seal and Judgment buttons together.
Reserve mana for the role you agreed with your group.
Plan where to place your pet and trap before pulling. A tool being available does not mean it should be used on every pack: first agree which enemy the group wants controlled. Review the trainer book so your point order reflects the current reference.
Poisons competed with temporary weapon enchantments.
Announced design
Poisons can coexist with temporary enchantments.
Poison charge counts increase.
How it may affect your build
Prepare poisons alongside weapon enhancements.
Write a preparation checklist for your weapons instead of relying on memory. Check the active poison and enhancement, then agree your opening target and interrupt duty. These changes expand preparation options; they do not establish a measured damage ranking.
Both become available to every Priest at level 20.
Divine Spirit becomes baseline at level 30.
How it may affect your build
Choose race using its remaining toolkit.
Keep race selection and your ability bar as separate decisions. Look at the current level filter before planning a dungeon: a future spell is not a tool you have today. If you will heal, review emergency buttons and mana breaks with the tank.
What to check before playing
Compare remaining racial tools in the race guide.
Check learning levels rather than copying a level-60 bar.
They last five minutes; short-duration totems are unchanged.
Totemic Projection moves totems from level 22.
How it may affect your build
Plan placement and movement together.
Decide which totems your group needs for this pull and when you will reposition them. Duration alone does not remove the need to manage placement. Use the level filter to distinguish the tools you can train now from those you are preparing for later.
What to check before playing
Prepare totem placement before the pull.
Review resource use when the group changes position.
Compare when your route gains defensive tools, not only its final point total. Save alternative point orders and check what you can use at the level of your next dungeon. Coordinate crowd control so the rest of the group knows which target to leave alone.
What to check before playing
Mark a crowd-control target with the group.
Check the required talent investment before relying on a defensive spell.
Prepare damage effects, utility and pet commands as separate parts of your bar. Before a dungeon, agree which utility the group wants and what your pet should attack. Pet scaling is an announced design feature, not proof that a particular build wins every encounter.
What to check before playing
Check pet stance and target before pulling.
Keep your utility choice aligned with the group plan.
Consumables and racials work in forms; most engineering bombs remain excluded.
Barkskin also works while shapeshifted.
How it may affect your build
Check exceptions when preparing consumables.
Organize a small emergency plan for each form you intend to use. Check item and racial exceptions in their reference text rather than assuming every button works while transformed. If you cover more than one role, tell the group when you can switch and what resources that requires.
What to check before playing
Review item exceptions before a dungeon.
Agree your main role and backup role with the group.
