This article documented preparation for the free test from Latin America. The October 21 test has ended. The announced temporary launch option is an Invite-A-Friend code for November 4 through 11.
Current status: the free October 21 test has ended. See current WoW Forever access options. The LATAM context below remains as an archive.
What free access means here
The opportunity is to try Forever during a limited window, rather than remove its subscription permanently. Blizzard says ordinary access after launch requires a World of Warcraft subscription or game time. Upgrade editions are optional for ordinary access, although some benefits depend on purchasing them.
| Access option | Announced offer | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Beta Server Slam (ended) | Free test held October 21 | Published regional start times |
| Launch invitation | Access November 4–11, 2026 for eligible code recipients | Account eligibility, region and redemption conditions |
| Ordinary access | Subscription or game time | This is not permanently free access |
The October 21 open test in LATAM
When we first published this guide on October 15, Blizzard had not yet confirmed regional times. It later scheduled the test for October 21 and published the regional start times. That test has ended.
The original October 19 date changed. The “Stress Test” option in the launcher belonged to the test, not the launch client.
LATAM does not share a single local time: Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Chile and Argentina had different local start times. The sources linked here did not describe a separate Latin American test event.
Another option: a launch invitation
Blizzard announced Invite-A-Friend codes with qualifying purchases. The published access window is November 4–11, 2026, and code emails to purchasers begin October 20. The Heroic pack includes one; Epic and Warcraft Forever Collection include three.
Eligible recipients can access the game during that window without a subscription or game time, subject to the program’s conditions. A code does not provide indefinite access or establish that every account can redeem it. Read the restrictions linked from Blizzard’s announcement before buying an edition for invitations or organizing a session with friends.
Launch invitations and open beta are separate offers. Do not use the November dates as the Server Slam schedule.
Prepare from Latin America
- Sign in to your own Battle.net account and update the desktop app.
- Open World of Warcraft and check the version selector. For launch, follow the current installation guide and choose WoW: Forever, not the old stress-test version.
- Check storage and hardware using our launch guide.
- If using an invitation, check official redemption instructions and account eligibility. You do not need to share your password to receive a code.
- Before joining, confirm whether you have a subscription or Game Time, or will use a November 4–11 invitation code.
Prepare your character before access opens

This archive preserves pre-test LATAM questions; it does not announce a new regional promotion. Check current eligibility with Blizzard and our current access guide.
