FAQ
What day does WoW Forever come out?
Wednesday, November 4, 2026. In Central Europe, Asia and Oceania it will already be Thursday the 5th at launch time.
What time does WoW Forever launch in the US?
3:00 p.m. Pacific, 4:00 p.m. Mountain, 5:00 p.m. Central and 6:00 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, November 4.
What time does WoW Forever launch in the UK?
At 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4.
Does it launch at the same time everywhere?
Yes. It is a global launch at 23:00 UTC, so your local time depends on where you are, but the moment is the same for everyone.
Big launches often have queues and server issues in the first hours. Blizzard has not announced anything specific for Forever, but it is wise not to plan anything critical right at launch.
Can I pre-download WoW Forever?
As of October 27, Blizzard has not announced a pre-download date. WoW Forever already appears in the World of Warcraft version selector in the Battle.net app, so you can install it now and let it update before November 4. If Blizzard ships a last-minute patch, the app will download it anyway.
How long can I reserve my name?
Until November 3. Reservation is for accounts with an eligible pack, and you can create up to three launch characters. See our name reservation guide.
When can a friend with an invite code play?
At the same time as everyone else: November 4 at 23:00 UTC. The Invite-A-Friend code works until November 11. See how to redeem it.

- November 4: launch.
- December 9: the first raids open: Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia. The full calendar is in the WoW Forever roadmap.
- Winter: WoW Forever Hardcore arrives, no date yet.
What to have ready
- An active subscription: WoW Forever uses the standard World of Warcraft subscription.
- The game installed through the Battle.net app, so you are not downloading at launch. Check the PC and Mac requirements.
- A ruleset agreed with friends: Normal, PvP or Roleplay. Different rulesets cannot run dungeons together. Read which ruleset to choose.
- A class and talent plan: compare classes in the tier list or read the best class to start with. Then open your class guide: its build loads straight into the talent calculator.
- A gold plan: follow our guide to free gold without buying it.
About this guide
The date and time come from Blizzard (3:00 p.m. PST, 23:00 UTC). Local times are our conversion using the IANA time zone database, and already account for Europe and the US being on standard time on November 4, and Chile, Australia and New Zealand on summer time. If Blizzard changes the schedule, we’ll update the tables.
