WoW Forever leveling guide: 1 to 60

Plan your road from level 1 to 60 in WoW Forever: choose a race and class, prepare talents and professions, and explore zones and dungeons by stage.

Leveling route · beta 1.60.1

A 1–60 route that marks what is tested and what is not

Use the table as a map of options, not a mandatory route. The beta, which closed on October 23, reached level 30; above that, zones are guidance and several dungeon ranges come from community references.

Follow the stages in order and pick one or two zones per stage; you do not need all of them. Ranges are Classic ranges and Forever may retune them: when quests turn gray, move to the next stage.

01

Group quests by area

Pick up nearby objectives and finish several before returning to town. Change zones when quests send you far away or sit well above your level.

02

Bring dungeon quests

Collect quests before entering and agree who tanks, heals and deals damage. Repeat only when the group is moving well or you need something specific; XP is still being tuned.

03

Cut long downtime

Train abilities you use, sell gray items, collect flight paths and leave room in your bags. One useful weapon can matter more than several small upgrades.

Confirmed beta tuning

Dungeon XP has changed

Do not assume repeated dungeon runs are always fastest: Blizzard adjusted both quest rewards and creature XP.

  1. Dungeon quests give 50% less bonus XP beyond their normal quest value.
  2. Dungeon creature XP increased by about 20%; Blizzard also fixed party XP calculation for lower-level enemies.

Campsites are part of the journey

In WoW Forever, you can stop at a campsite to rest and gain benefits. Professions contribute their own campsite objects; Blizzard says the first unlock comes at skill 20. Food also has a larger role during the journey.

Quick answers

Is this a fully tested route to 60?

No. The beta reached level 30 and closed on October 23. Levels 31–60 use Classic ranges and what Blizzard has published about the new zones; we will check them in game from November 4.

Should I level only in dungeons?

There is no fixed answer. Bring the available quests and try a mixed route; creature and quest XP have both changed during beta.

What if quests turn green or send me far away?

Move to a nearby zone with level-appropriate objectives, collect its flight path and return for unfinished chains later.
