WoW Forever early dungeons: level ranges, faction, and location

These three new instances fill the early leveling brackets. The ranges below describe the levels published for each dungeon; they are guidance for planning, not confirmed minimum entry requirements. Blizzard’s current range for Excavation Site differs from an older community guide, so that entry includes both dates and sources.

Hall of Thanes — levels 13–18

Blizzard lists Hall of Thanes among the beta’s available dungeons. Wowhead’s Forever guide describes it as an Alliance dungeon beneath Ironforge. It is the earliest of the three entries covered here and gives Alliance groups a new option before level 20.

Ruins of Lordaeron — levels 15–20

Blizzard also lists Ruins of Lordaeron as available in the beta. Wowhead describes it as a Horde dungeon among the ruins of Lordaeron. Its level window overlaps the opening levels of Hall of Thanes, giving Horde players a corresponding early route.

Excavation Site: Wetlands — levels 26–31

The October 1 Blizzard development update gives Excavation Site: Wetlands the range 26–31 and says it was added alongside the level-30 beta cap. Wowhead’s September 23 guide listed 24–29 before that update. For the current timeline, use Blizzard’s newer range. Wowhead places the entrance at Whelgar’s Excavation Site in the Wetlands.

What is still missing

The sources above establish names, availability, broad level ranges, and some location context. They do not provide a complete, verified list of bosses, quests, or rewards for every instance. We’ll add those details when they can be checked against current beta or official information.
